Telegram is a widely used messaging platform. Many of our customers use Telegram to receive notifications. This article will explain the Hipcall Telegram integration.
Setting Up Telegram Integration
Telegram is a widely used messaging platform. Some of our customers prefer to receive notifications through this channel. This article explains how to receive notifications via Telegram.
1. Access the integration settings
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Click the Set up a new integration button to open the integration setup page.
- In the Telegram section, click Install to go to the Telegram integration setup page.
We've demonstrated the first, second and third steps in the short video below.
2. Configure the integration
- Give your integration a meaningful name, e.g.,
Telegram Task Notification. - Add a description, e.g.,
A notification will be sent to the Telegram channel whenever a task is created. - Open Telegram Web in your browser and log in.
- Open the group where you want to receive notifications. To create a new group, click New Message > New Group.
For example, if the group URL ishttps://web.telegram.org/k/#-4197551931, then4197551931is your Chat ID. Enter this value in the Chat ID field.

3. Select notification events
- Choose which events should trigger notifications. In our case, select Task Events > Task Created.
- Click the Save button to register your integration.
- Finally, add @HipcallBot to the Telegram group so it can send notifications.
Testing the Telegram Integration
You can test the setup by creating a new task.
If notifications are not received, check the following:
- Is the Chat ID correct?
- Is HipcallBot added to the group? @HipcallBot
- Is the Task Created event selected?
- If all settings are correct, check the integration logs from the integration details page.
