Hipcall Odoo integration
Setup steps
1) Go to the "Settings" page in Odoo.
2 )Configure the "VoIP" menu.
The account settings are the same for all Odoo accounts. Use the following values:
- "PBX Server IP:" sip.hipcall.com
- "WebSocket:" wss://sip.hipcall.com:8443
- "VoIP Environment:" Production
3 )From the "Users" menu, select the user whose phone will be configured.
4 )Configure the user's "Hipcall VoIP" settings.
VoIP credentials can be obtained from PROFILE > Device Settings:
- "VoIP Username:" 6-digit SIP username
- "VoIP Secret:" 16-digit SIP password
5) Test the integration.
If all information is entered correctly, Odoo will register with the Hipcall PBX system. You can verify this under Profile > Device Settings. If Odoo is not listed, wait 15–30 seconds and refresh the page.
You can also test by making and receiving calls via Odoo webphone. Make sure you have credit and that the Hipcall user has a default outbound number assigned.
Troubleshooting
Registration failed despite correct information
If you receive a 401 error in Odoo Webphone, it means the username or password is incorrect. Check the following:

Did you enter the following values correctly in your Odoo account?
- "PBX Server IP:" sip.hipcall.com
- "WebSocket:" wss://sip.hipcall.com:8443
- "VoIP Environment:" Production

Did you enter the correct SIP username and SIP password?
Note: Your Hipcall login credentials are different from your SIP credentials. Odoo requires the SIP username and password found under "Profile > Device Settings". The SIP username is 6 digits, and the SIP password is 16 digits.
Changing the SIP password (VoIP secret)
For security reasons, Hipcall displays your SIP password only once. If you don’t remember it, you must reset it. After resetting, you’ll need to reconfigure your IP phone, mobile app, or other clients.
Registered but unable to make or receive calls
Outbound calls not working:
- Has a default outbound number been assigned to the Hipcall user? Without it, outbound calls won’t work.
- Do you have sufficient credit?
Inbound calls not working:
- Did you call your Hipcall number from a mobile phone?
For the call to reach the Odoo user, it must be routed correctly in the Hipcall PBX system. You can test this by dialing the user’s extension.
