How to Get a Phone Number from Telnyx and Access SIP Details

1. Create a Telnyx Account

2. Add Credit to Your Account

  • Click the green “+” icon in the top bar of the portal
  • Add funds using a credit card or other available payment methods

3. Purchase a Phone Number

  • Navigate to Numbers → Search & Buy Numbers
  • Use filters to select:
    • Country (e.g., Turkey)
    • Area code
    • Features (Voice, SMS, etc.)
  • Click Search Numbers Now
  • Add the desired number to your cart and complete the purchase

4. View and Configure SIP Details

Step 1: Create a SIP Connection

  • Go to Voice → SIP Connections
  • Click Add Connection
  • Choose your authentication method:
    • Credentials-based
    • IP authentication
  • Save the connection

Step 2: Assign Number to SIP Connection

  • Go to Numbers → My Numbers
  • Select the number you purchased
  • Click Edit
  • Assign it to the SIP connection you created

Step 3: Access SIP Credentials

  • Go to Voice → SIP Connections
  • Click on the connection name
  • View:
    • SIP username
    • SIP domain (e.g., sip.telnyx.com)
    • Password (if using credentials-based auth)
    • Connection type
