How to configure the central directory settings?

In this article, we will explain how to configure the central directory. You will learn how to deactivate companies, manage acquisition channels, employee count, industry, and lifecycle settings within the directory.

General Settings

If your company only provides B2C services and you don't need company sections in Hipcall, go to the "Directory" section under Settings and click General.

Traction Channels

  • You can add multiple acquisition channels in Hipcall and activate them specifically for companies or individuals. If a channel is no longer needed, you can remove it from the list. To add an acquisition channel, go to the "Directory" section under Settings and click General.

  • From the left menu, go to the Acquisition Channels page.

  • In the "Acquisition Channel Settings" section, activate the channel for companies, individuals, or both.

  • In the "Channels" section, click the "Add" button to create a new channel. Use the "pencil" icon to edit an existing channel or the "trash" icon to delete it.

Employee Count

  • If you provide B2B services, you can specify the number of employees for your companies in Hipcall. To display the employee count field, go to the "Directory" section under Settings and click General.

  • From the left menu, go to the Employee Count page, select "Yes" for the employee count option, and save.

Sectors

  • If you provide B2B services, you can specify the sector of your companies in Hipcall. To configure company sectors, go to the "Directory" section under Settings and click General.

  • From the left menu, go to the Sectors page. Activate the feature for companies, individuals, or both, then use the "Add" button in the "Sectors" section to enter sectors such as Consulting, Association, Other, Education, Energy, E-commerce, etc.

  • If you've previously added a sector and no longer serve that sector, you can delete it anytime.

Lifecycle

  • You can distinguish between existing customers and prospects using the lifecycle settings, helping you better understand their status. To activate lifecycle settings, go to the "Directory" section under Settings and click General.

  • From the left menu, go to the Lifecycle page.

  • Use the "Company Lifecycle" and "Individual Lifecycle" toggles to select "Yes" and define lifecycle stages such as Prospect, Existing Customer, Opportunity.
