External SIP Connections in Hipcall

Hipcall introduces a powerful new feature to elevate your business communication. You can now:

  • Connect directly with third-party SIP-enabled PBX systems
  • Integrate with AI-powered platforms

This allows you to unify office phone equipment and AI-based applications under one platform.

Why Use SIP Integration?

If your office already uses an IP-based PBX system, integrating Hipcall offers:

  • Flexible call routing
  • Full control of calls via Hipcall
  • Seamless integration with AI tools like Retell AI for automated analysis and interaction scenarios

Required Information to Set Up a SIP Connection

Prepare the following three data sets to quickly configure SIP integration in Hipcall:

1. Associated Phone Number

This number will be used for outbound calls via the connection.
Example: You can make outbound calls using “0212 123 45 67” registered in your system.

2. Credentials

These credentials are used for mutual authentication between Hipcall and your SIP system. You’ll define them in the Hipcall panel and also enter them in your SIP system’s authentication settings.

Username: hipcall_user
Password: S3cr3tP@ssw0rd
Domain: sip.example.com / 1.2.3.4

3. Termination URI

This defines where and how outbound calls from Hipcall are routed. It includes the target IP address, port number, and protocol.

Example URI's

sip:sip.example.com:5060
sip:1.2.3.4:5060
