How to Forward a User’s Calls to an External Number in Hipcall

You can forward incoming calls to a user's extension in Hipcall to an external number. To ensure the call forwarding feature works correctly, make sure the user's status is set to Available.

How to Forward a User’s Calls to an External Number in Hipcall

  • Go to the Users section under the Phone System heading in Settings.

  • Click the "Action" button next to the user you want to modify, then select "Phone Settings".

  • From the left-hand menu, go to the "Call Forwarding" page.

  • On the opened page, click the "Pencil icon in the top-right corner and define the time periods and external number to forward incoming calls.

Note: Forwarding only works when the caller dials the user’s extension directly or reaches them via the call greeting.
Calls routed through a call group or smart routing will not trigger external forwarding.

  • Forwarding to an external number may incur charges from your operator. Please contact your provider for details.
