What Is an FCT Device?

An FCT (Fixed Cellular Terminal) is a hardware device that connects a landline-based PBX system to the GSM mobile network. It can host one or more SIM cards and converts GSM signals into analog (or in some cases IP) signals, allowing the PBX to make and receive calls over the GSM network.

Hipcall and FCT Device Integration

  • Since Hipcall is a cloud-based virtual PBX service, it does not require traditional landlines. However, businesses may need to use GSM numbers in specific scenarios. With Hipcall’s FCT device support, you can integrate GSM numbers into your virtual PBX.

  • To host your GSM line in our FCT devices, an additional SIM hosting fee is applied to your PBX service. The annual fee for one SIM card is ₺5400 + VAT.

  • The basic Hipcall package includes 10 users, but when using a GSM line via FCT, the channel capacity is limited to 1. This means only one call can be initiated simultaneously through the GSM line.

Benefits of Using GSM Numbers via FCT Devices

  • Cost Savings: GSM operators may offer advantageous tariffs. FCT devices can help reduce costs, especially for mobile-directed calls. You can use GSM and landline numbers together in a unified PBX system.

  • Accessibility: In areas with no or limited landline infrastructure, FCT devices provide an ideal solution for communication via GSM numbers.

  • Calling from Specific Numbers: In scenarios where you want to reach customers using a specific GSM number (e.g., campaign announcements), FCT devices can be used.
