Configuring the IP allowlist

This feature allows users to access your Hipcall account only from specific IP addresses.
It is especially suitable for customers using VPN and static IP.
If you want your employees to log in only from office or VPN-defined devices, you can enable this feature.


Accessing the IP allowlist page

The IP allowlist feature is located under General in Account settings.

Follow the steps below to access the page:

  1. Click the "Settings" menu

  2. Select the "General" tab

  3. Click the "IP allowlist" menu on the left panel


Overview of the IP allowlist

Once you reach the page, you will see the following options:

  1. Toggle whether the IP allowlist is active
    • If your own IP is not listed below, you will be locked out after activation
    • It is recommended to activate this setting last
  2. Add a single IP address
    • Typically used for VPN and firewall configurations
  3. Add an IP block
    • Typically used for server blocks

Adding an IP address

When you click the "Add IP" button, a form will appear:

  1. Enter the IP address
  2. Add a description to identify the location later
  3. Choose whether the IP is "Active" or "Inactive"
    • Note: Even if the IP is active, the allowlist must be enabled for enforcement
    • Make sure your own IP is added before activating the list
  4. Click "Save" to confirm.You will see this screen .

Adding an IP block

  1. Click the "Add IP block" option
  2. Enter the IP block (e.g. 123.123.123.123)
  3. Add a description (e.g. "Test")
  4. Click "Save" to complete. You will see this screen

After saving, the IP will appear in the list as "Active", with options to edit or delete.
Successful additions are confirmed with a green notification.
